Freshly Brewed. Freshly Baked.

Coffee, snacks & chit chat for brunch on a lazy Saturday. Perfect to kick start weekends. This time Saturday chill session was at Chilla Cup since the many were raved about the freshly baked pretzels there.

Freshly baked pretzels are such lovely comfort food. And seriously, its tough having to say no to them too. Here at Chilla Cup, pretzels are made fresh on the spot. And when you spot them at work, its even harder to resist trying the variants.
I was curious with what the bloke with the bandana was busy doing behind the counter
Walked over and  saw him busy at work (almost none stop)
Shape it
Place it on the mat
A yummy pretzel!
Since it was a gathering of a bunch of girls, needless to say, we went on an eating frenzy:D Here's what we ate (and drank).

Fruity with a yogurt base, the Strawberry Smoothie is a good recommendation for those who want something cold and healthy.
A caramel macchiato for those who love sweet coffee:D
An espresso macchiato was my choice since I seriously needed to kick start my sleepy head.
A smooth and creamy Hot Chocolate to feed someone's chocolate addiction.
How could one just order one type of pretzel when the pretzels are baked freshly? Opt for plain pretzels which are seriously good to eat on its own. Or dip it into the available dips.  My fave? Definitely sweet caramel and sour cream & onion.
The Cinnamon Pretzels is lightly coated with cinnamon. Flavourful! And because I was nursing a sweet tooth then, I dipped a slice of the cinnamon pretzel into the caramel dip. It was simply amazing.
Taking a break from my sweet tooth, the plain pretzel with sea salt is rather yummy. However, remember to dust off some of the sea salt as it can be a tad salty.
Sweet potato pretzel was something new to me. Inside the pretzel was a generous filling of smooth and sweet potato. Kinda filling so this is good to be shared with a few friends:P
And if pretzel isn't your thing, then check put the thick toast. Sweet tooth (like me that strange Saturday) absolutely loved the Caramel Butter Toast. A huge dollop of fresh cream, butter and caramel is crazily high calories but its so sinfully worth the calories.
Another sinfully good snack would be the Double Cheese Honey Thick Toast. Sweet and savoury at the same time, every bite is filled with a generous topping of parmesan and mozzarella.
Something savoury and we had the Pepperoni Tortilla. Not exactly very tortilla looking since it does resemble a pizza more than anything. Nothing spectacular but it makes a decent meal in case the pretzels don't fill one up.
So much carbo...I was going into another sleepy head session. So I opted for a latte before we tuck into more food.
Yes more food to go as we checked out the December promo items that Chilla Cup had to offer. The Harvest Chicken Stew with Whole Meal Pita is a very homely stew like how momma makes them. Good enough to eat on its own, I actually forgot the pita bread served with it.
Fish pasta with sour cream was quite a favourite with the girls. But I personally prefer my pasta el dente, so this didn't go to well with me.
Grill Black Pepper Chicken is a good meal. Chicken is succulent with a generous serving of fries. I would have preferred a leafy salad rather than the mixed vegetables. But the black pepper sauce made it up for the mixed vegetables. We pretty much ate up all the mixed vegetable. LOL.
The December promo set meals all come with either an Americano or Iced Lychee. Loved the Iced Lychee (drink on left) that cleared out palate after all the food and coffee. Refreshingly good!
Green drink on the right is the Green Mint Mocha. Sweet and refreshingly minty, this is almost like having mint chocolate chip ice cream.
