Universal Studios Turns 100

Universal Studios turns 100 this year and they have a spanking new logo as well. Not much of a departure from the previous logo but its definitely a good one. Spotted any differences?
For one its now known as "A Comcast Company". Think it was previously a NBCUniversal.

The globe is still a globe but I thought that the old logo looked like a rubber stress ball trying to glow:P This new logo now has a globe that looks more realistic and has an eclipse effect. Rather refreshing and quite apt considering that it is now 100 years and still in business.

Font is a serif. And it certainly looks better and cleaner. Previous font seemed like Copperplate (when you work in an advertising agency, you will inadvertently be recognising fonts:P)

And the best news of all is that to celebrate the 100 years, Universal Studios will be restoring 13 classic films (some on Blu Ray as well). I am so looking forward to To Kill a Mockingbird, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial,  Frankenstein, Jaws, Schindler's List, Out of Africa and Pillow Talk.
one of my all time faves E.T.!
