Gourmet Treats at Ettora

Chocolate, cakes, cookies and teas. Perfect combination for any day. Couple of weekends ago, that was out our perfect afternoon tea session at Ettora with the girls and boys.

I love the clean and simple outlook of this place. And I was greeted by some very tantalising sights which got the tummy rumbling (ok...I was salivating too:P). We snap away while our drinks were being prepared. A hot cup of Ginger Glow for me. Its light and nothing overpowering.
What does a girl do when she sees so many types of cookies? Eat them! Precisely this is what I did. I took a nibble of different cookies and figured out the ones I wanted a whole piece to myself.
• Choc Chip Macadamia
• Hazelnut Shortbread
• Luxury Oat Almond
• Melting Moments
• Oatmeal Raisin
• White Cranberry Chocolate Chip
Cookies in simple but colourful cans or glass bottle (title picture) are available for you to buy as gifts or even yourself.
And my faves are Melting Moments. This shortbread like cookie with a delicate vanilla scent crumbles when I took a bite. Still a wee sweet for my personal liking but the fact it melted in my mouth makes it worth it. I must admit that I don't exactly have a very sweet the sweetness is probably fine with most people.
I love macadamia nuts and just about anything with macadamia nuts in it. So its quite obviously I would also be happily munching on the Choc Chip Macadamia. Crispy with quite a generous bits of macadamia and chocolate chips, this is very delightful with a glass of milk (which I'll probably be doing at home) or a cup of coffee (which I experimented at Ettora and is a brilliant combination).
Take your pick of either the Luxury Fruit Cake of Food for Gods.

Generally we would think that cakes with dates would be terribly sweet. Surprise surprise... Ettora's date cake which is aptly named Food for Gods. Nothing overly sweet and every bite has delightful and fragrant dates in it. Coupled with some nuts for extra bite, this is one very addictive cake. Sold at RM49.90 per box, this makes a delightful cake for girlie chats.
Ettora has quite a few organic teas and we were able to taste them all. APart from Ginger Glow, I also enjoyed the Black Chai. If you love masal tea, then this would be your bet. You can opt to add milk and sugar although my personal preference would be to drink this tea as it is sans milk, sugar etc.
I remember the chocolate that greeted me when I walked into Ettora. Again what does a girl do when she sees chocolates? Eat them! The Belgian Chocolates are imported and if you wish to gift gourmet chocolates, you can  give Ettora's chocolate a try. Alternatively, grab some for yourself. There are 16 types of chocolates for you too choose from. Each with its own fillings eg mocha whipped cream, hazelnut vanilla paste etc.
The cakes, chocolates, cookies and teas make lovely gifts if you're looking for something different. And while you're at it, you may want to include some wine or jams. Choose from the selection of jams which are rather interesting e.g. onion jam. I wonder what it taste like? I would certainly like to grab the Saffron Citrus Marmalade once I clear my bottles of marmalades in my fridge.
