Bento @ Kofuku

Some weeks back I wrote about my MIGF dinner at Kofuku. At the very same dinner, we also had 2 Bento sets since there was room in the tummies. 

The hubster had the Kofuku Bento Gozen @ RM80. Mine was the Teppanyaki Kaisen Bento also RM80. Figured that since my MIGF menu (entry dated 16 October 2012) already has sashimi I might as well check the teppanyaki scene.  Quite a good deal considering the serving portions of the food.

Kofuku Bento Gozen:
• Sashimi Moriawase - salmon, tuna and butterfish 
• Tempura Moriawase - Prawns, fish and vegetables in tempura batter
• Teppanyaki Beef or Chicken in garlic butter sauce with mixed vegetables
• Agemono - Deep Fried Beancurd with Bonito Sauce
• Bento set is served with crispy salad, garlic fried rice, miso shiru soup, pickles and tropical fruits.
Kofuku Bento Gozen is quite a filling lil box of dinner. Perfect after a day at work.
Fluffy and fragrant garlic fried rice. I would have ordered an extra bowl of this if not for the fact that I was technically eating 2 sets of meals on my own 
(Yes! there is actually quite a bit of room in my 5' tall frame)
Fresh and thick slices of salmon, tuna and butterfish sashimi.
Teppanyaki Beef garlic butter sauce with on a bed of sweet pea sprouts (tau miu) and carrots. Its quite a hearty portion of beef teppanyaki that warrant a return for the succulent bite that every piece of meat. We ordered it medium rare and it was perfectly executed.
The Agemono is a comfort dish for me. 2 cubes of soft silky tofu lightly fried for a crisp outside.
Lightly battered tempura of fish, prawn and vegetables.

Teppanyaki Kaisen Bento:
• Grilled Salmon with Crispy Garlic Chips
• Tempura Moriawase - Prawns, fish and vegetables in tempura batter
• Grilled Tiger Prawns and Scallops in garlic butter sauce
• Fried Mixed vegetables with Mixed Mushrooms
• Agemono - Deep Fried Beancurd with Bonito Sauce
• Bento set is served with crispy salad, garlic fried rice, miso shiru soup, pickles and tropical fruits.
Teppanyaki Kaisen Bento is recommended for seafood and vegie lovers.

Tempura Moriawase
Grilled Salmon served on a bed sweet pea sprouts. I have to add that I love the tender sprouts. The salmon has a lovely crisp skin that enveloped the flaky salmon. Lovely!
Grilled Tiger Prawns and Scallops in garlic butter sauce is one reason why this bento set was also chosen. See the juicy big piece of scallop? Of course I loved the prawns which I absolutely loved. The shells were quite edible since i was quite nice and crisp on some parts, sucked the prawn heads (am glad that I don't have a problem with my cholesterol) and devoured the flesh. 

The menu mentioned that dessert was tropical fruits. We had more with macha ice cream with red bean. Yummy! This girl isn't complaining about her dinner:D
