Spicy Kiwi Crab Pasta


During my recent Zespri®'s 14-day Daily Scoop of Amazing Challenge, it was quite a few recipes that I developed or incorporated kiwis into. One of my fave would be this Spicy Kiwi Crab Pasta. Something quick and simple that took me 15 minutes because I was too famished when we got home after work pass 10pm.

Ingredients:
• 100g pasta of your choice
• 2 kiwi fruit
• 2 pieces cili padi (birds eye cili)
• 1 tbsp chopped garlic and onions
• 1 tbsp yogurt
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Oregano and dried parsley
• 100g crab meat
• Truffle Oil (optional)



Instructions:
• Cook pasta according to your preferred doneness.
• Mash 2 kiwis. I used the unripe ones because I wanted something sour.
• Cook garlic, cili padi, onion and kiwi together.
• Add crab meat and cook for a minute or so.
• Add yogurt to achieve a thicker consistency. Can use more if you prefer something thicker.
• Add salt and pepper to taste.
• Serve pasta and sauce with love:D
• I wanted something more earthy, so I added truffle oil before serving and sprinkled some Japanese chili flakes as well for more ooomph and bite of the black sesame seeds.


Instead of the usual tomato base...I did it with kiwi and since I made it from scratch instead of the usual bottled sauces, this is definitely a healthier take! For more kiwilicious recipes:
