Hurry over because Chef Eduardo Vargas will only be in town until 7th December 2013!

Here's some of the lip smacking dishes that the hubster and I savoured:
SCALLOPS A LA PARMESANA RM18++
Gratined scallops with aji amarillo, parmesan, pisco and lime is an explosion of flavours that will have you craving for more. Creamy parmesan with a little fiery action from the aji amarillo (apparently it was quite fiery for the hubster and some of our pals) and a refreshing zing from the lime. Highly recommended!!!
NIKKEI CEVICHE ON SPOONS RM18++
Raw tuna tartare, mirin-yuzu dressing and nori. Another fave for the night is this pretty dish that has is an amazing play of textures.

LAMB ANTICUCHO  RM48++
Yogurt sauce, quinua tabouleh and mint mojo. Tender bites of lamb served with refreshing mint and comforting quinoa.
BEEF HEART ANTICUCHO RM18++
A classic in Peru, huancaina sauce, crispy potato and corn Saltado. I am surprised by the taste and texture of the heart. There is no gamey taste at all and I have to say I was glad the hubster didn't fight with me for this lovely chewy snack. Its not easy to make this as the heart will need to be thoroughly cleansed and veins removed. Am certainly looking forward to this being on the Qba's permanent menu.
OCTOPUS CAUSA   RM35++
Grilled octopus, kalamata aioli, potato causa and Piquillo. I can imagine that the octopus would have been quite a large fella when he was alive. The octopus is served with a purple sweet potato mash.
CLASSIC CEVICHE   RM32++
Seabass ceviche, “tiger’s milk", corn and sweet potato. No tiger milk is used in this dish! Instead tiger milk here refers to the marinade made with lime, chili, onion, salt and seasonings. The marinade is totally appetizing and one may just end up slurping it all up like I did:D In fact I did read that the 'tiger's milk' is a good remedy for hangovers!
TIRADITO DE LANGOSTINOS   RM38++
Citrus vinaigrette prawn sashimi in Peruvian style. Highly recommended if you love sashimi. The sweetness of the prawns accompanied by a citrusy creamy sauce. This is also another lovely dish that i hope will be seen on Qba's menu even after the Peruvian promotion.
TACU TACU A LO POBRE RM18++
Panca rubbed tenderloin, bean-rice cake, onion salsa and quail egg is a comforting dish if you crave meat and carbs:D
AJI DE GALLINA   RM52++
Shredded chicken, aji amarrillo sauce, olives, quail egg and rice. Another hearty dish with a creamy sauce and shredded chicken. Though the rice was a tad hard almost crunchy, I learnt that it is the way rice is served in Peru. When eaten with the aji amarrillo sauce (and chicken), it is actually a lovely combination.

Beyond the above, there are basically a lot more dishes to be explored. However as I had a flight to catch...I have to be contented with the above dishes. Honestly...I was contented even though I missed out on the other mains and desserts.

The Peruvian cuisine by Chef Eduardo goes on till 7th December 2013. So hurry on over to Qba. And if you fancy learning how to cook Peruvian dishes then head on for their cooking class on 7th December. Priced at $M148++ make your reservations as this hands on cooking class has limuted seatings only!
