Porky Christmas Menu @ Chicago Rib House

I know some just crave that porky Christmas meal and honestly, I do too. Chicago Rib House is whipping out a special 4 course Christmas menu all the way till 1st January 2014. Its 12 days of Christmas so celebrate till new year is definite a good way to usher in 2014 too!

The special 4 course Chirstmas set menu is priced at RM79.90 per person and includes a welcome drink, an appetizer, a soup, a main course and dessert. Serving sizes at Chicago Ribs are reasonable so for RM79.90 its definite a good and wholesome meal.

Kick off the meal with a festive drink. Choose from Peach Bellini, Christmas Berry Delight ot Mint Lemonade. My fave is the Mint Lemonade.
Peach Bellini - fresh peach blended with peach juice and sparkling wine.
Christmas Berry Delight - refreshing berry fizz.
Mint Lemonade - cool & minted lemonade. My clear favourite since I generally love anything with mint as one of its ingredients.

Appetizer is Crab and Cod Crostini on Avocado. Simple and totally appetizing with creamy avocado, mix seafood spread and cheese on top a crisp olive oil toasted baguette.

The Pomegranate Salad is pretty like a rainbow its definitely one of the best salads that I have had in town. Fresh salad leaves tossed yellow zucchini, pomegranate, radish, feta cheese and toasted pecans. Very refreshing and appetizing.

There are 3 mains to choose from and from the sampling platter that we had, Chicago Rib House' Dry Rubbed Coffee Ribs is highly recommended.

Christmas is not complete without turkey. The Roasted Whole Turkey Leg is slow cooked and roasted with thyme. Served with classic giblet sauce and cranberry jelly with a side of mash potatoes and garden vegetables, this is recommended for a classical Christmas.
Roasted Pork Belly Roulade is the hubster's fave. Roasted pork belly with sage unfused apple, olives and chestnut served with garden vegetables and potato tartin complimented. I personally love the sweet tangy apple compote and wine red wine reduction.
Chicago Rib House's signature baby ribs takes on a twist with a dry rub of spices and oven baked with chargrilled glazed coffee sauce. The Dry Rubbed Coffee Ribs remained juicy never mind its rather dark looks in our tasting platter. A lil burnt during our tasting session but it still remains my fave of the 3 samplers that we had.

The festive Christmas set menu ends with a classic Christmas dessert of Pumpkin Tart. Roasted sweet pumpkin in a buttery tart pastry is served with strawberry coulis and topped with whipped cream. I skipped the strawberry coulis as the pumpkin puree was amazing and flavourful on its own.
