Greek Festival @ Prince Hotel & Residence KL

Its time for very delicious and authentic Greek cuisine. Unless you have been mingling with our Malaysian small and cozy Greek community, then head down to the Greek Week Festival at Eccucino in Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur.

Greek guest chefs Chef George Diakomichalis and Chef Kalliopi Diakomichalis will be in town and will be working with Eccucino’s Chef De Cuisine Jason Manson. Priced at RM98++ per person and children under 12 years old dine complimentary with every paying adult from 10th to 23rd March 2014.

Unlike the usual buffet concept, this year you will be able to experience a true Greek dining experience by partaking in the dinner in a large group the way the Greeks enjoy their Greek cuisines in company of friends and relatives. Dubbed the "Chef's Table" you will be treated to a Greek lifestyle of delicious Greek food as you mingle with Chef George Diakomichalis and Chef Kalliopi Diakomichalis. On selective nights, members of the Hellenic Society of Malaysia will also be present to share stories and how to enjoy Greek beverages in particularly the “Ouzo”. This experience is available at no extra charge. However since seats are limited, do make your reservations quick!

Here's a sneak peek of what you can expect...am certainly looking forward to enjoying another night of Greek delicacies in the company of Chef George and my Malaysian Greek pals tomorrow!
A long table seating but rest assured conversation is very possible. Its an amazing experience.
Marinated Feta Cheese is one of my fave that night. Pretty much ate it with most of my dinner that night.
Very appetizing appetizers of olives. Drizzle some olive oil for an extra kick.
Starting from the top left:
Green Olives Stuffed With Red Pepper
Green Olives Stuffed With Garlic
Kalamata Olives
Dolmades - Stuffed Vine Leaves is my all time fave. Love it with a drizzles of olive oil. Satisfying flavours and bite from the leaves and stuffing that includes rice, dill, meat and pine nuts.
Spanakopita is a very appetizing baked spinach and feta filo pastries. Forget the idea about dieting and go free eating these delicious parcels.
Khoriatiki Salata - Greek country salad
Grilled Beef, Lamb and Chicken Souvlaki. Juicy chunks of meat!
Very comforting Fasolatha - White bean soup in a tomato based broth. I love chili flakes so just could not resist having them with my soup.

Another reason to ditch one's diet will be Greek desserts. Not a sweet tooth person but I will never resist creamy rice pudding Rizogalo and fragrant Baklava.
Baklava
Rizogalo
Tip to drink Ouzo:D Mix it with a little water to get the cloudy colour. More palatable. And if you don't want to be offered more of this rather potent star anise drink, leave half your glass filled or else your host will certainly toast you to another glass!

Enjoy a true Greek culinary and dining experience @ Eccucino for dinner only from 10th to 23rd March 2014.
