McDonald's Taro Gingko Pie

Thailand, Songkran, travel, foodie trail, Mcdonald's, Taro Gingko Pie, or nee, 芋泥, dessert, teochew,
Love taro? Love Gingko? Or if you love  the Teochew dessert Or Nee 芋泥, then you might just be smitten with the Taro Gingko Pie by McDonald's.
What you can expect from 52THB (at the airport) is the McDonald's signature pie crust enveloping the piping hot goodness of creamy taro and nourishing gingko. The moment I took a bite, all I could think of was my favourite Teochew dessert or Or Nee wrapped in a pie. It was really comforting and thankfully it wasn't overly sweet even if one does not have a sweet tooth

While I have not seen this in our Malaysian shores (well at least after my last visit last month), If it hits our local shore I will certainly be visiting McDonald's a little more often than I really should just for the delicious Taro Gingko Pie. Meanwhile because I am still in Thailand, it will be more of this pie everyday for the remaining days of my stay!

A must have in any country that I visit is McDonald's. The best discovery to date is the Taro Gingko Pie during the recent Songkran experience!
