Reebok Spartan Race

Want to do something challenging? Then consider the Spartan Race. More than just running, the Spartan Race is a series of obstacle races of varying distance and difficulty ranging from 5km.

Spartan Race comes your way on 10 and 11 October 2015. This race is open to individuals aged 14 and above. Each racer will receive the coveted official Spartan Race Finishers T-shirt and race medal upon crossing the finish line. Be a part of the first ever Reebok Spartan Race Kuala Lumpur competitive Elite Heats! The top 3 fastest male and female Elite racers will win top cash prizes and a phenomenal Spartan Race trophy.

People of all ages, shapes, sizes and walks of life have completed Spartan Races. And if your reckon you are unfit or not ready or worry on how to train for a Spartan Race, fret not. There are plenty of resources for you including a 30 days training plan that is practical, fun and delicious - it includes some meal plans too!

It will be more fun to sign up with your friends and loved ones. In case no one is game for it, you can still sign up because fellow participants are known to be helpful and supportive. From giving you a smile to completing the challenges with you, you will never be alone. The Spartan community are well-known for being helpful and they don’t like seeing people struggle. Watch how quickly a helping hand extends your way. Don’t be surprised if you feel someone pushing up on the soles of your feet to boost you up. That’s normal. They’re just helping you. It will be fun...

You don't have to run all the way. If you don’t want to run then take a walk. Take your time! Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and before you know it, you’ve done the first kilometre.

There are different challenges lined up for you. Some are pretty exciting like the final obstacle known as Fire Jump. All you need to do is to leap over a wall of flame and claim your finisher’s medal! Makes for a great photo opportunity too. Of course there are fun and easy obstacles that pretty much everyone can do including Spear Throw that you need to to throw the spear and have it stick into the spearman (wood or hay). And if you can't complete an obstacle and don't want to complete an obstacle, all you need to do is to complete 30 burpees for each failed obstacle.
