Tokyo Street

Tokyo Street @ Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is 4 years old. Happy birthday Tokyo Street!

Celebration goes on until 9 August 2015 with lots of fun activities in stored for both old and young. It is summer so we are looking at everything bright, fun and colourful. To kick start the celebrations, shoppers were treated to some amazing presentations and even Japanese goodies for the first 200 shoppers.
Shoppers and guest who came in their yukatas.
An energetic Wadaiko drum performance flagged off the celebrations.
For the very first time, Japanese icon Chibi Maruko Chan makes her appearance in Malaysia.  Chibi Maruko Chan is a well-known Japanese manga and television series that depicts the everyday life of a young girl, promoting friendship and family ties.
Chibi Maruko Chan - she's so adorable.
Shoppers danced along during the ‘Summer Dance Performance’ also deemed as the ‘Happy Dance’ by the Japanese. It was a colourful sight as shoppers were seen doing the ‘Happy Dance’ alongside dancers who were dressed in intricately designed kimonos and yukatas.
A pleasant surprise awaited shoppers who came early.
