Cedar on 15 @ Impiana KLCC Hotel

One of our personal favourite spots for lunch / dinner in KLCC area would be Cedar on 15 at Impiana KLCC Hotel. It is a 10 minutes comfortable walk for us from our office through KLCC, food and ambiance is what makes us return on our own or with our clients. The latest return was to have a quiet dinner to catch up with the hubster after a busy work schedule and travelling on my side.

Sit in if you like the cool comforts indoors. I love my lunches indoors but in the evenings, outdoors is the best. One gets to watch the skies turn golden over drinks or your dinner. And when the skies turn dark, enjoy the beautiful lights of the surrounding buildings. One is 15 floors above the road, so traffic is really not too obvious. Enjoy the gentle sounds of water and well selected music.

Service is relatively quick. But if you are really famished, enjoy the complimentary freshly baked breads while waiting for your food to arrive. Addictively good on their own and even better with the accompanying walnut oil and balsamic pomegranate vinaigrette. An amuse bouche of salmon is also served. The items differ on every visit so the fun is for us is always to guess what greets us on each of our visit.

I absolutely love baby spinach and am guilty of ordering them each time I see any dish that contains baby spinach. Cedar Salad RM42 is a generous sized starter of baby spinach served with shaved parmesan, sun dried tomatoes, pinenuts and mustard walnut vinaigrette. Also served with a side of Pomegranate Balsamic Vinegar which gave the salad more oomph though honestly, it was good enough on its own.

The hubster opted for The Three RM58. An interesting platter of 3 bite size (his bite size!) of salmon, honey infused duck and poached crayfish tartar served on Himalayan Salt Plates.

If you love soups, then the soups at Cedar on 15 are a must. Enjoy the presentation and get your phone camera ready to record the fun and show! Highly recommended and a personal favourite for us every time would be the Cream of Topin Ambour RM38 served with truffle oil. Safe and still as good as ever is the Porcini Mushroom Soup RM42.
Topin Ambour is Jerusalem artichoke (or earth apple). Creamy rich goodness almost like a creamy potato soup but tastier! Taste it on its own before you stir in the dollop of cheese or add in more truffle infused oil.
Addictively scented but do not be over enthusiastic with adding too much into your soup. Enjoy your soup as it is.
Comforting porcini goodness. Creamy with lil bites of mushroom.

If you love steaks and are looking for something affordable yet impressively delicious, then the steaks are a must! Both the hubster and I love a good steak...and we both had our good steaks together. Wagyu Ribeye, Marbling 7 RM53 per 100g for the hubster while I had Black Angus Filet Mignon RM88 for 180g. The steaks are served on Himalayan Salt Plates. Don't leave them sitting on the plate too long or else they will be too salty.

It is again, another good meal at Cedar on 15. A belated anniversary dinner. A catching up dinner with each other. A great dinner with a view while waiting for city centre's traffic to clear up. And also a great place to chill over drinks in the evening.
