Christmas and New Year 2015: The Pressroom Bistro

For those who want a European feel this Christmas and New Year celebratory meals, then a good choice is The Pressroom Bistro in Pavilion KL. You can expect a vibrant meal in colours and flavours in a relaxing ambiance without breaking your wallet.
The Christmas menu is available from 24th to 27th December 2015. The 3 course meal is priced at RM160+ including coffee and tea though I will highly recommend that you explore The Pressroom Bistro's wine list as well.

Foie gras lovers will rejoice in this perfectly seared piece of rich goodness that seemingly melts in your mouth. Paired with some compressed apples and chutney to offer a balance of flavours to the richness of the foie gras. 
Christmas Pudding Semi freddo
Rich creamy goodness of semi freddo paired with a rich dense Christmas pudding with rum soaked dried fruits. A drizzle of sweet gooey caramel for that added lux and texture. Christmas in every bite and perfect for those who have a sweet tooth.

New Year menu starts from 31 December 2015 to 2 January 2016. Priced at RM160+ including coffee and tea for the 3 course set meal.

For those who love quail but don't quite fancy going through the bones for that lil bit of meat, then this dish of deboned quail will certainly be good news. Meat galore of the deboned quail and house smoked duck - look at those pink juiciness!
Rump of Lamb, Roasted Beets and Charred Artichokes with Fennel Purée
I personally love the colours of this dish. Vibrant colours and flavours coupled with a lovely pinkish sous vide rump of lamb and seared on the outside for that added 'bite'. I personally love the addition of fennel and beetroot for a contrast of texture to the lamb. And it is amazing that the naturally sweet and earthy beetroot adds balance to the richness of the lamb. 
Brandy Snap Cannoli with Lemon Pastry Cream and Candied Berries
My favourite of the 3 course meal has to be this very addictive (and can I have more) Brandy snap canoli. A lovely balance of sweetness with the slightly tangy lemon pastry cream with candied berries. A perfect end to the rich meaty meal. 

The Christmas and New Year menu are available all day during the said dates. Perfect because holiday and festive meals should not adhere to rigid meal times. Remember to check put the wine list at The Pressroom Bistro available by the glass and bottle.
