Instagram Roundup: 25-31 October 2015

Another week passed and I must admit time passes too fast. Another brilliant week brought a lovely end to October with a short getaway with the hubster that stretched till the first 3 days of November.
#Affogato - happiness in one glass.
Another ABC soup day because the hubster is not well. Chicken, onions, corn, potato, carrots, peppercorn and pumpkin.
fried goats cheese with honey lemon sauce
Mortlach is here in Malaysia
Dessert: Brandy snap cannoli, lemon pastry cream and candied berries.
After the rain...
There's no heaven on earth but we have bits of heaven on earth.
Smitten with this exquisite rendition and pairing of this bouncy Hokkaido Sea Urchin chawanmushi with Viña Maipo Vitral Chardonnay @ Tatsu,  Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur. Love the play of the sweet chardonnay and savoury urchin and perhaps the most amazing dance of textures. Simple but I think this is one of my most memorable wine pairing dish for this year. Bravo Chef Sam!

Awesome kickstart to Friday. Pool done under clear blue skies. Hot steaming lau sar bao for brekkie with pretty orchids on my dining table. #TGIF
Rehab means less running but I am allowed to walk. So it's a day out checking out some heritage trails in Selangor.

An old grandma humours me with a smile while chewing betel leaf in her mouth. It discolours her teeth but gives her mouth a lovely pinkish orange tint. Betel leaf chewing is an old habit that is also believed to aid oral health & improve digestion.

#LittleIndia in #Klang is part of Klang's Heritage Trail. You can opt to walk along the colourful trail on your own or even grab a free guided walk that takes place every Saturday at 9am. My colourful walk ends with a Special Thali meal with an assortment of colours & flavours from the various gravies to go with a slice of capati and rice. Absolutely adored the almond kheer (almond rice pudding) that was served with this meal. A perfect meal after 10162 steps from the heritage walk!
