White Horse Tavern @ AmpWalk

White Horse Tavern is your answer if you crave pub grub while having someone else in your company who wants a satisfying proper meal. A nice balance of both with a good selection of drinks - beer, liquor, wines or even cocktails, this is one good pub restaurant to add to your happy hours and dining options.

What's interesting for me personally is also White Horse Tavern also offers you the option of choosing from their display of meats and sausages of which they will cook it for you. No service charge for cooking and you pay for the items that you have chosen. A good deal and idea if you don't want regular items from the menu. Of course, you may also buy these goodies to cook in the comforts of your home.

Our maiden visit was with a bunch of friends. It all began with happy hours and it certainly ended our mid week blues on a good and happy note!
Happy hours. Its cider for me. Cold, a little sparkling and absolutely refreshing!
Meats, sausages, bacon, pies...take your pick and the kitchen folks will cook it for you with
no extra charges.
Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms
Simple but a darn satisfying bite to go with your beer. Portobello mushrooms stuffed with mozzarella cheese, grilled mushrooms and wrapped in bacon then grilled.
BBQ Chicken Wings RM32
Indulge in this popular appetizer of chicken wings marinated with Chef Yogi’s signature BBQ Sauce
Honeycomb Glazed Pork Ribs RM129
One of the most popular must haves at White Horse Tavern. Grilled pork ribs topped with pure honey comb. The hubster loved this and requested that we return for this dish. His words "Perfectly marinated ribs, tender and lovely sweet crunch from the honeycomb".
Pies are a complete meal on its own. White Horse Tavern whips out golden pies with a flaky pie crust. Take your pick of Mince Beef RM38 or Chicken Mushroom pie RM38. Each is served with a side of mashed potatoes, vegetables and roast gravy sauce.
Crispy Roast Pork Knuckle RM90
Good old fashion roast pork knuckle with crispy skin that cracks with every bite. Tender meat. Served with streaky bacon and jacket potatoes. Good on its own or you can even eat it with the side sauces of creamy spicy mustard and the very appetising prune and apple compote. Remember to wash it down with a nice cold beer!
Deep Dish Alfredo Pizza MR32
Creamy cheesy goodness of grilled fin fish with loads of gouda cheese and cream.
Dad’s Breakfast Pizza RM28
Breakfast, lunch and dinner really doesn't matter because this is the perfect pizza that will put a smile to your face with an assortment of toppings including eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms and hash browns with cheddar cheese on a thin crust.
That perfect runny egg on the pizza. How can I not smile?
Pork Burger RM28
180g of juicy pork patty coated with Chef Yogi's secret sauce known as Hellsfire. Slow numbing and spicy that hits your palettes with every bite. Ask for more sauce if you love hot cumbing spicy action. Served with a generous portion of fries, salad, coleslaw and caramelised onions.

And for those who feel that there's too much pork or heavy meat action...then there are some lighter bites. These are my favourites!
Chicken, mango and avocado salad RM25
A big serving of grilled chicken tossed with juicy sweet mango, chopped tomatoes and avocado salad. Its a salad that is great for sharing or even as a complete meal on its own. 
Fish Gratin RM35
Might not look the prettiest but this is one comforting hot meal of fin fish served with a creamy white sauce and mashed potatoes. A simple but nevertheless very satisfying dish...perfect with a glass of white wine!

The menu at White Horse Tavern is not the most elaborate but there are enough choices for both old and young. There's the kids menu for the young ones, local dishes and even pasta. Head in on Sundays between 10am to 1pm for their Sunday Roast with options of roast beef, chicken or pork @ RM52 for adults and RM26 for children (under 10 years old).
