Kampung in the City @ Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre

The fasting season begins. And for the many that are still working in Kuala Lumpur and missing the traditional home cooked goodness from one's own hometown or village, look no further because it is Kampung in the City @ Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 6th June - 5th July 2016.  Priced at RM115 nett per pax, diners will treated to a delicious home away from home cooked feast to break fast during Ramadan.

There will be live stations for freshly cooked pad thai, curry noodles, seafood stir fry to your preference. The menu will also be featuring popular home cooked favourites and international favourites including Arabic-style minced beef kebab on pita bread, fish Tikka, Italian pasta made à la minute and Mediterranean Hickory-Smoked Lamb! Here's some of what diners can expect.
For those who love curry laksa, this dish of "mi gulung dengan kuah kari sawang telur" is a must try. A rich curry served with chee cheong fun instead of the usual noodles and the usual curry condiments but topped with some crunchy egg fritters. Absolutely delicious!
Crunchy eggs that gives the noodles the extra bite.
Different options of preparation for seafood. Kamheong is highly recommended!
I chose kamheong flavour with prawns, mussels and scallops.
Roast lamb. Tender and flavourful. Served with sides of olives and roasted vegetables.
The fruits corner is definitely my favourite. A lovely selection of local and imported fruits. One should eat more fruits during the fasting period. The good sugars, high water content and Vitamins come in handy to keep one energised and hydrated during the fasting period.
Bubur lambuk
Traditional favourites that go well with both white and flavoured rice.
Familiar favourites and definitely taste as good as they look!
Assorted ulam and kerabu to whet one's appetite.
So much options and its pretty fun to walk around. Take your time to try a little of everything!
Roast with potatoes.

Traditional snacks.
Traditional cookies and sweet bites.
Pretty and yummy desserts.

Ample parking, smack in the middle of the city and easily accessible by LRT or the monorail and a short walk, no wonder this is still one of the more popular Ramadan spots in town.
