Vietnam with Vietjet

Vietnam is probably one of the few Asian countries that I have visited without fail every year. Having done 3 trips this year, this is one quaint country that has much in stored for travellers. Whatever the adventure you seek, there’s something that Vietnam has to offer.

The fun folks at Vietjet have 3 recommended destinations. While I am a regular at Ho Chi Minh City, I reckon it is high time for me to check out Hanoi and Ha Long Bay. Perhaps a getaway in Q4 is perfect since I am given a break from my ultra marathon training.

Hanoi
Vietnam’s capital city is considered one of the most beautiful of the colonial Indochinese cities. A combination of old-world charm and modern developments brought on by its recent surge in tourism. Take a stroll through the many parks, temples and museums, take a break at the many road side eats, fine restaurants. Coffee and banh are a MUST!
Trấn Quốc Pagoda - the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi
Yummy banh mi are a must!
Hanoi's Railway street is one of the many picturistic spots.

Ha Long Bay
Kayak, scuba dive, rock climb or hike to to explore this unique archipelago that is a UNESCO World Heritage site made up of 1,969 islands. Breathe in the beauty of its emerald waters and towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. And if you want something light and easy, there’s always cruises and seaplane option to draw in the sights.

Ho Chi Minh City
Having visited Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) 11 times, there is just so much to explore. Museums, parks, churches, temples, towering skyscrapers, street eats, fine dining and shopping, each visit has never been the same. No wonder accidentally or otherwise, HCMC has always been a “return” destination for me.
