2 things caught my eyes today during grocery shopping - a block of mozzarella and barracuda. Bought them both of course. While the mozzarella was purchased with the idea of pizza nights and baked mozzarella with honey, the barracuda was more of an impulse buy. I had not idea how to cook it or what preparation I had in mind. It was more like I was intrigued by the idea of it being the much feared barracuda - in my mind, I was forming possible stories of barracuda fillet attacking its diners or chefs in the kitchen. Obviously those stories didn't happen or else dinner wouldn't have been Baked Mozzarella Barracuda. Hmmmm the dish sounds nice...it rhymes!

Auchentoshan presents a new whisky experience with the bar takeover of W.I.P Bangsar from now until 30th July 2016. A new experience awaits on how a single malt whisky can be enjoyed and experience.
Caught the very interesting video for the V Power ad at the cinemas and YouTube. It definitely reminds me a lot of the movie Transformers. One of my faves that I actually don't mind rewatching it for a good laugh. Here's the video in case you didn't catch it!
Of course beyond a good laugh and entertainment values, there is much value in fuelling our cars correctly and using the right engine lubricant. It is similar to us eating well to stay healthy and strong.
Many ask what fills my mind during my long runs. Most times it is food. Either what do I eat when I am done or what shall I experiment in the kitchen. Breads are one of my faves and as much as I have the option of using my breadmaker, I do find it more fun these days to bake no knead breads which is really simple. All you need is a Dutch oven and if you find that darn pot too costly, fret not because I have baked no knead breads just as well in a Visions Pot.
Just how does Shell VPower fuel unlock performance? It’s a burning question in most motorist’s minds. Shell Malaysia, as we know, has Shell V-Power 97 and Shell V-Power Racing, with the latter introduced in 2006.
Mooncake time! It is definitely the time of the year again for delightful nibbles of mooncakes and lanterns to celebrate mid autumn festival. Mandarin Oriental celebrates the season with classic baked favourites, snowskin and chocolates ones.
I love spicy food. Szechuan food is somewhere on top of the list because of its flavours and sometimes numbing action of the peppers. The current Flavours of Szechuan @ Lai Po Heen in Mandarin Oriental KL that runs till 31st July 2016 is highly recommended if you are looking for pork free options. The are 12 dishes on the menu priced from RM32 onwards per dish that includes poultry, seafood and red meats. A nice balance with different dishes bearing different levels of spiciness to cater to different levels of tolerance. Remember, one man's meat is another man's poison!
DC Comics Cafe opened in Pavilion KL. A pretty extensive and colourful menu in terms of food and the design of the physical menu itself. Service was pretty prompt and food was another pleasant surprise. Love how the plating was playful and most importantly tasty!
It is a long 10 days break for me. On such much needed breaks, I take time to cook and bake quite a bit. It is Bak Kut Teh or pork ribs soup for dinner today as per Daddy and the hubster's request. Something simple and doesn't require much prep work. Of course it is a lot more cheaper too cooking for 6 at home than eating out. The total cost here is approximately RM30.
A recent visit to Graze in Hilton Kuala Lumpur brought about a perfect dinner of fine Paul Jaboulet Aîné wines, good company and beautiful food. While some arrived late thanx to the traffic, everyone's mood was fine and dandy with lots of chatter and laughter in between sips of wine and Graze's addictive breads.
Heading in to Hong Kong to check out the shopping and gastronomy scene? And if you are looking for halal food as well, then check out the following halal certified restaurants too! Take your pick of both local Cantonese cuisine and International restaurants!
It is the time of the year when many will “balik kampung” for the long festive raya holidays. And if you are driving, you will definitely need to fuel and refuel your ride. Do it with Shell as Shell will contribute 1 sen (RM 0.01) to help empower children for every little of fuel pumped at any Shell retail station nationwide from 1st to 3rd July 2016.
