I didn't have the luxury of time to have a proper rest but the place was amazing. Warm and friendly workers, super friendly furry ambassadors, fresh crisp air, beautiful gardens and delicious edibles from the garden...Moonriver left me smitten. A short stop for our team with barely 3 hours in hand to cook and freshen up but it did wonders to recharge us all.
Simple place but enough for me to make plans to return for a short stay with the hubster to simply chill. At the time of visit, it wasn't the best Internet connectivity but that is where the beauty is, disconnect to reconnect with ourselves. Perhaps we could join the activities that they have to offer including nature walk, a farm tour, catch up with some reading, board games...back to basics kind of fun and enjoyment. And if you have never seen a Rafllesia up close a personal, then join the trek session to see the world's second largest flower.
Till I return, I can't share much but here's some pics that I managed to collate from my own snaps, Sifu SK and of course the folks at Moonriver itself.
C2C participants having a good time at this Moonriver Lodge. Such an awesome checkpoint!
Lots of greens and if you look closely, there's some parsley too. Smack opposite the open kitchen!
Managed to cook this plate of chicken breast with parsley from Moonriver's garden, some salt, pepper and ginger powder.
Fed the 2 boys a dinner of chicken breast, egg plant and kailan. Our host also had some cucumber, tomatoes, beet root and strawberries for us to muck around with but we ended up only doing a
take-way with us for us to eat along the journey to Kuala Terengganu.

A simple kitchen but it is enough for your to cook up a feast if you want to. Just bring some of your own preferred seasonings and oil or just play around with the fresh ingredients, some salt and let your culinary skills shine.
Lovely harvest at Moonriver Lodge recently chemical and pesticide free! Pic taken from their FB page.
Covered and a very pretty walkway leading to more rooms and the garden.
A secret garden of sorts within the lodge. Walk around and discover the different scents and sounds. Challenge yourself and figure out the scents and sounds before you walk any further. I had my share of fun figuring them out while I was cooking - sadly no chance to explore during our stop.
A mini waterfall within the grounds. How cool can this place get?
Simple fun of climbing and swinging around. Or if you like, just sit, chat over a cup of tea or even a good book outdoors.
Misai kucing also better known as Java tea. Someone asked if I actually stopped to smell the flowers during runs. The answer is yes and no but I love taking a breather to appreciate these pretty flowers that are also edible and good for health.
Quite a bit of fruits around but I was eyeing the pomelo and strawberries.
And if you prefer to stay indoors, there's always books, board games or old fashion fun of communicating eye ball to eye ball.
Another living room but this one is more open for you to enjoy fresh gush of wind every now and then.
Musical instruments
One of the available rooms. Beds are basic but very comfortable.
This friendly ambassador made her way to my room while I was repacking my gears for the remaining days of C2C.
Good old fashion hammocks. Airy, comfortable and I wished I could have taken a short nap in it.
